loads of codes and secret ciphers
This was the first book I published that was not a poetry anthology. Students who know about my poetry books always want to know how does a guy who love poetry write a book about a subject that is so . . . well, unpoetic. The answer is simple. I've always been fascinated by spies and read stacks of spy stories when I was a kid. So, for me, it seemed to be the perfect subject for me to write about. I have to be excited about a subject before I can write about it, because, as a writer, if I'm not excited about writing a book, I can't expect readers to be excited about it.
